Below are lists of the 15 most difficult public golf courses on Long Island, from the two longest sets of tees, as determined by slope rating.

Technically, slope and course rating are figures used for handicap purposes.  However, in simple terms, the slope rating provides a general indication of how difficult a particular course plays for the typical bogey golfer.
