The last tee of the season will dig into the turf at the Holbrook Country Club this Sunday, December 14, when the tree-lined par-71 shuts down until March. The pro shop will remain open until Christmas.
Holbrook is a heavily wooded course and nightmarish for players who struggle to keep the ball straight. Those who have a habit of spraying the ball around the course should consider carrying an extra few sleeves of Titleists and refining their skills with the punch shot.
When the course re-opens in March, or if you squeeze in a final round this week, heed the advice of the Holbrook starter:
"Don't go left, and don't go right."
