Golfing Magazine unveiled the ultimate Long Island golf destination in its recent Fall issue, a Dream Golf Club that combines not only the very best holes in Nassau and Suffolk, but the finest clubhouse, restaurant, pro shop and practice facilities as well. It all adds up to what would be a memorable par-73 course that begins with a short par-4 in Garden City and ends in Riverhead on the Island's only par-6. In between is a mix of grueling uphill fairways, maddening bunkers, daring water carries and breathtaking views.
Beginning next week and continuing through the winter, Golf On Long Island will feature each of the Dream Club's eight public holes along with commentary from Golfing Magazine editor Terrence Jordan.
The magazine, now in its 19th year, can be found at all Long Island courses and golf retail outlets, and is also available by subscription. It is published five times a year.
