From now through the end of July, golfers 16 and under can play the Crab Meadow Golf Course for free with a paid adult after 5 p.m. Call (631) 757-8800 for details and reservations.
Crab Meadow is a scenic course near the Long Island Sound in Northport. Its 481-yard par-5 eighth, highlighted by a pond that must be carried to reach the green, was selected as part of Newsday's Dream 18. The course was also named one of the best public courses on the Island by readers of the Long Island Press.
