The Town of Hempstead will host its 2nd annual Supervisor's Cup Golf Classic on Wednesday, September 16 at the Lido Golf Club in Lido Beach. The event is open to town residents 18 and older and will be filled by a lottery drawing later this month.
Participants receive range balls, cart, continental breakfast, barbecue lunch, prizes and refreshments in addition to 18 holes at one of Nassau County's most popular courses. Shotgun start is scheduled for 10 a.m. Awards will be given out for top team score, longest drives, accurate drives and closest to the pin. The winning four-person team (scramble format) will receive the Supervisor's Cup. Entry fee for selected participants is $15.
The tournament is limited to 144 players and will be filled by lottery. You can register by printing an application from the Town of Hempstead website or by attending one of the on-site registration dates (August 13 and 15) at either Lido or Merrick Road Park. Deadline to register is August 21, and the lottery will be held at Merrick on August 26.
