Rock Hill Golf & Country Club in Manorville will once again host the annual Chrissy's Wish Golf Outing to benefit the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation. Now in its sixth year, the outing raises funds for research and treatment of various mental disorders. This year's event is scheduled for Friday, July 13.
The event begins with a barbecue lunch and practice on the range before the 1:30 p.m. shotgun start. After the round, players are invited to stay for a buffet dinner, dessert and two-hour open bar. Entry fee for all players is $160 and includes golf, cart, practice balls and meals. To register for the outing, contact the Chrissy's Wish Memorial Fund. Non-golfers can also register as dinner-only guests for $55.
Rock Hill is one of Long Island's lengthiest public courses, and thanks to thick rough and several uphill approaches, it plays even longer than the scorecard indicates.
