Among many other specials across Long Island this summer, the Pine Ridge Golf Club and Spring Lake Golf Club are each offering rounds at greatly reduced (or no) cost. At Pine Ridge in Coram, a "Beat the Heat" rate of $25 -- with cart included -- is available Monday through Thursday after 4 p.m. The offer is valid until the end of July.
Starting on July 5, junior players age 14 and under can play the nine-hole Sandpiper Course at Spring Lake for free with a paying adult. The special is valid on Wednesdays and Thursdays through the end of August.
