Town of Huntington ends agreement with Crab Meadow, Dix Hills Park course operator

Town of Huntington board members voted unanimously last month to end its license agreement with Integrity Golf, the Florida-based management company hired in 2014 to run the Crab Meadow and Dix Hills Park municipal courses, according to Newsday.

Newsday's Deborah S. Morris reported Thursday that the board voted 5 to 0 to revoke the agreement at its November 10 meeting, citing Integrity's failure to meet contractual obligations and make timely payments.

While Integrity did make some landscaping and clubhouse improvements at the two facilities, Morris said, the company did not perform certain renovations and additions as expected.  Capital improvements were a major part of the plans when the Winter Garden, Florida course operator won its bid to manage the facilities in November 2014.

"However, town officials said Integrity failed to create a grill room for year-round use, update the bar and add more observational seating, and replace the patio tent with a more permanent structure at Crab Meadow. Shortly after its contract began in January 2015, Integrity distributed several e-mails to Crab Meadow and Dix Hills golfers outlining its ambitious plans for the two courses, which included the new restaurant, a "first-class facelift" of Crab Meadow's practice area, and community dining events.  Integrity featured Crab Meadow in its company magazine later in 2015.

The Town of Huntington will manage the courses while seeking proposals from other operators, the Newsday report said.

Integrity has also been replaced as manager at several courses in and around Orlando. Many of the Orlando courses they still manage are not as good as they used to be.

This was a mistake from Day One. Integrity is a very shoddy, poorly run and under capitalized excuse for a company. They submitted the lowest bid and The Town of Huntington got what they deserved. NOTHING!
