Golfing Magazine's annual Free Golf Program is back, offering subscribers the opportunity to tee it up at a variety of Long Island courses at a steep discount, in addition to some bonus time in a simulator.
Six area golf courses have signed on for the 2017 program. For $49, subscribers receive a Free Golf certificate courtesy of the Hicksville-based publication, which entitles them to heavily discounted one-time rates at Brentwood Country Club, The Woods Course at Cherry Creek in Riverhead, Gull Haven Golf Course in Central Islip, Holbrook Country Club, Island's End Golf & Country Club in Greenport and The Golf Club at Middle Bay in Oceanside.
For the second year in a row, Free Golf subscribers also receive an hour of simulator time at Simplay, a golf and indoor-sports destination in Hauppauge. Simplay features multi-sport simulators as well as a bar, lounge and food menu.
Taking advantage of the promotion is simple -- bring the certificate with you to the course and all you pay for is a cart fee (and reservation fee, in some instances). The certificate is honored at designated times during the week and on Sundays, and availability varies by course. (Specific terms for each course are listed on the certificate and can be viewed at the Golfing Magazine website.) Be sure to double-check all terms and conditions when reserving your round. Tee times must be made in advance.
As an added bonus for those who travel across the Northeast, certificates are also valid at dozens of golf courses across upstate New York and New England.
Players can subscribe throughout the season for only $49. Certificates are valid until December 31, 2017. To subscribe, contact Golfing Magazine at (516) 822-5446 or visit online at www.GolfingMagLI.com.
