The Long Island Golf Junkies players group will hold its second annual "Putt for Pink" golf outing on Monday, October 3 at Port Jefferson Country Club, with donations benefiting the fight against breast cancer. Shotgun start is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
Entry fee is $105 per golfer and covers 18 holes with cart. It is an individual stroke play event with contests for closest to the pin and longest drive. Spots can be reserved for singles and groups by submitting a donation via the LIGJ website. (Payment for the golf outing will be made separately.) The Long Island Golf Junkies group is one of the largest and most active players groups in the region. It hosts several formal outings, casual rounds and social meet-ups each season at both public courses and private clubs.
